Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
By using Dateyet, you agree to these terms. Dateyet is a DBA of Emunah and Company NY INC. If you do not agree, please do not use Dateyet.
What Dateyet does
Dateyet suggests kosher plans for any time of day: breakfast, lunch or dinner, something to do, and coffee or dessert, close together. Plans can be for dating, for married couples, for friends or for business meetings. Dateyet also offers playbooks, a directory of marriage teachers and a shidduch service.
Dateyet makes suggestions only. We do not book tables, sell tickets or take payment on behalf of any venue. You make your own reservations and purchases directly with each venue.
Your account
You can plan without an account. Some features, such as saving plans across devices, reminders, playbooks and the shidduch service, need a free account. Keep your login private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Free plans
Everyone gets 4 free plans, with no card needed. Free plans are counted on your device when you are not logged in, and on your account when you are. After your free plans, you need a membership to keep making new plans.
Memberships
Memberships are billed monthly by card through our payment processor, Stripe. The price drops every two months you keep your membership:
- Individual: $25, $21, $17, $13, $9, then $5 a month.
- Couple, 2 accounts: $50, $42, $34, $26, $18, then $10 a month.
- Family, up to 4 accounts: $80, $68, $56, $44, $32, then $20 a month.
Your membership renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account. When you cancel, your membership stays active until the end of the month you already paid for, and you will not be charged again. If you come back later, your price starts again at the first step.
We may change prices in the future. If we do, we will tell you before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
Playbook add-on
The cross-playbook add-on is a one-time $100 payment. It lets you read the other playbook while your Dateyet membership is active. It belongs to the person who bought it and is not shared by a Couple or Family plan. If your membership ends, the add-on stays on your account and works again when you come back.
Gift a year
A gift year is a one-time $180 payment that gives the person you choose one year of Dateyet. It is not charged again. When the gift year ends, the person keeps Dateyet only if they add their own card, at $5 a month, and they can cancel that anytime.
Venues and kosher information
We work hard to keep venue details accurate, but hours, menus, prices, events and kosher certifications change, and venues can close. We cannot guarantee the kashrut of any venue or the content of any show, event or activity. Please confirm the hechsher, the hours and what is happening that day directly with the venue, and make sure it fits your standards before you go.
Marriage teachers
Teachers listed on Dateyet are independent. Dateyet does not employ, endorse or supervise them. Any arrangement, schedule or payment is between you and the teacher.
Shidduch service
If you create a shidduch profile, you agree that approved shadchanim (matchmakers) using Dateyet can view it and suggest matches to you. Shadchanim apply for access and are approved by us before they can see profiles. Your photos are private and shown only to approved shadchanim and to people you are suggested to.
You will see no more than 2 suggestions waiting for your answer at a time. When you say no to a suggestion, you must choose a reason. You only see suggestions that are current, and we email you when a shadchan sends you a new one. Your answers, your reasons and the history of who you were suggested to are kept. Approved shadchanim and Dateyet admins can see who you said yes or no to, and who said yes or no to you, including your reasons. A shadchan may suggest someone again, and will see that you answered before.
Shadchanim are independent and are not employed by Dateyet. We do not run background checks and cannot verify everything people write in their profiles. Please use your own judgment, ask your own questions and follow your community's practices before you meet anyone.
You can mark yourself as not available, or delete your shidduch profile and its history, anytime from your account.
Emails and texts
We send emails about your account, payments, plans you schedule, shidduch suggestions and replies to your support questions. Reminder emails for scheduled plans can be turned off on each plan. We send text messages only if you turn them on, and you can turn them off anytime from your account.
Using Dateyet fairly
Do not use Dateyet to harass anyone, to post false or harmful information, to copy our content or venue list in bulk, or to get around free plan limits or payments. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Our content
The plans, playbooks, venue write-ups, illustrations and design on Dateyet belong to us. You may use them for your own personal planning.
Limits on our responsibility
Dateyet is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what happens at any venue, at any meeting arranged through a teacher or shadchan, or for losses that come from relying on information that changed or was wrong. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Dateyet changes. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email. Using Dateyet after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Privacy
How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
